Ventac Win at Export Industry Awards, 2017

Dublin, 17th November 2017: Ventac are delighted to announce that they were awarded with Services Exporter of the Year at the Irish Exporters Association, Export Industry Awards 2017 on Friday night. It was a great achievement and an honour for Ventac to have received the award and it is a true reflection of the work, dedication and drive that is seen throughout the entire Ventac team.

About the IEA, Export Industry Awards

The Export Industry Awards organized by the Irish Exporters Association (IEA), is the premier event recognizing the remarkable achievements of companies working in the export industry in Ireland. The event took place on Friday, 17th November at the Clayton Hotel, Burlington Road, Dublin 11, with companies winning individual categories from a range of sectors. There were 50 companies shortlisted across 11 categories and Ventac were shortlisted for 3 categories this year. Ventac are delighted to have been recognized for their achievements as an Irish based company, exporting internationally from their Blessington based site in Co. Wicklow.

County Wicklow took home both Ventac’s Services Exporter of the Year Award and Kildare based Irish Dog Foods were awarded overall Exporter of the Year 2017 after also winning the Medium Size Exporter of the Year Award earlier on in the evening. The Black Tie Awards Ceremony and Gala Dinner was attended by 550 export industry professionals, with a guest list that included Mary Mitchell O’ Connor TD, minister of State at the Department of Education and representatives from over 25 Embassies, Secretary Generals and Awards sponsors. 

 

Speaking at the Awards Ceremony, Nicola Byrne, President of the Irish Exporters Association said: “The Export Industry Awards began in 2001 and has gained momentum year on year. The 2017 Awards has seen the biggest and the most competitive year yet with more unique applications than ever before. Our Independent Judging Panel was particularly impressed with the competitiveness of the applications and the international opportunities companies from Ireland are winning”.

 

Ventac are the providers of complete noise control solutions to international vehicle OEMs of commercial and industrial vehicles. Market sectors include Bus & Coach, Agricultural Machinery, Construction Equipment and Specialist Vehicles. Based in Blessington, Co. Wicklow, Ventac’s extensive understanding of the market is orientated around a specific group of target customers and the IEA judges felt that they had a strong organizational culture with excellent customer management, a broad business base across a wide range of sectors and regions and had real potential for growth.
