Operator Noise Levels Reduced by 4dB
Date: Oct 2010
Small sweeper vehicles pose a number of noise control challenges including multiple noise sources and a limited space to work in. These vehicles are fitted with a large centrifugal fan located in close proximity to the driver’s position. This source has a high amplitude but also it is very tonal. A reduction at the operator’s ear of 4 decibels was achieved with the fan running at its highest speed setting.
