Ventac’s QT Pump Jacket offers an effective solution for domestic residences that experience excessive noise from booster pumps when showers are in use.
Booster pumps used to increase water pressure are a common appliance in most homes. Although they only operate intermittently, an unintended consequence of their operation can be a high level of vibrational and airborne noise, which can prove a nuisance to home owners and neighbours alike. To address this problem, Ventac have designed the QT Acoustic Pump Jacket, an easy to fit DIY product that can offer noise reductions of almost 7dB.
For technical information please refer to the technical data sheet.
The kit consists of a small acoustic enclosure with a separate detachable cover. The enclosure is a bespoke design incorporating a polymeric noise barrier within a composite sandwich material covered with a heavy duty durable PVC quilted material. The quilt comes complete with velcro panel fixings for easy assembly.
The kit also includes an anti-vibration mat which improves the overall noise reduction by addressing the vibrational component of the noise somewhat. This is a DIY product and comes complete with a hole saw attachment to enable quick and easy preparation of the enclosure for the particular pipe configuration of the booster pump.
The QT Acoustic Pump Jacket Kit is designed for use in residential and domestic applications. It comes in two design variants dependant on pump model and can be used with the Grundfoss, Salamander and Monsoon range of domestic booster pumps.
Easily installed, each jacket is equipped with a multi-size hole saw bit for drilling for pipe locations.
