Ventac has extensive experience in providing noise control solutions on lift handling vehicles of all shapes and sizes. By their nature, these vehicles must have a noise control solution that will work for both lift and driving operations.

Ventac’s vehicle noise assessment work on these vehicles is mainly to the European Normative test standard:

EN 12053 Safety of Industrial Trucks- Test Methods for Measuring Noise Emissions

This standard is used to establish and reduce the two key noise criteria for the vehicle:

• LpAZ A-weighted Sound Pressure Level at the operator’s ear for the operation cycle, in decibels
• LwAZ A-weighted Sound Power Level of the Vehicle operation cycle, in decibels.

We have achieved a reduction on lift vehicles powered by diesel/LPG engines as well as by electric motors. Electric vehicles are not commonly regarded as having a noise problem but vehicles with a cab can have significant noise levels at the operators ear due to reverberation in the space.

Ventac is proud of its product development on these vehicles. Part of Ventac’s strategy is the constant development of noise control kits, with new materials, design improvements or innovative new solutions to achieve a reduction in either the noise levels or the cost.
